2016-2017 Parent Evaluation Survey

  • Schools in the HMC-1 District annually receive Title I funding to help support students and staff. As part of this federal program, parents and guardians are asked to complete the Title I Parent Evaluation Survey to help us gather information. This information will be used to help each school and the District improve Title I instruction and programs.
     
    Please complete the 2016-2017 school year survey. If you have children in more than one school, please complete a separate survey for each school location.

Title I

  • Title I and related Federal Programs are intended to help ensure that all children have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic standards and assessments. It provides flexible funding that may be used to provide additional instructional staff, professional development, extended-time programs, and other strategies for raising student achievement in high-poverty schools. The program focuses on promoting school-wide reform in high-poverty schools and ensuring students' access to scientifically based instructional strategies and challenging academic content. The specific Federal Programs include;

     

    Title I: Improving Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged

    Title IIA:  Training & Recruiting High Quality Teachers & Principals

    Title III: Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient & Immigrant Students

    McKinney Vento Act - Provisions for the education for homeless children

    School Improvement Grant

    Carl Perkins Grant

     

    The Hickman Mills C-1 School District annually receives Title I funding to help support reading and math programs. Resources are provided on this site to guide parents and guardians through the District Title I Policies and Procedures, as well as to inform them of their rights and ways to get involved in developing an educational partnership to support their child’s educational progress.
